Dhole Art Contest

World Dhole Day Art Contest 

Kids are encouraged to create artwork featuring dholes in their natural habitat, interacting with their pack, or showcasing their unique traits

Age Categories

5-7 years old
8-10 years old
11-13 years old
13+ years old

Submission Requirements 

  • Artwork must feature at least one dhole.
  • Any traditional medium is allowed (colored pencils, markers, paints, pastels, etc.). No digital artwork.
  • Paper size: 8.5” x 11” (standard) or A4.
  • Each entry must include the artist’s name, age, and a brief description of their artwork (1-3 sentences)
  • Special Recognition for Scientific Accuracy
Illustrations that show exceptional attention to factual details—such as correct dhole coloration, body proportions, pack behavior, and natural habitat—will receive special recognition.
These entries may be highlighted as "Best Scientific Illustration" or receive an Honorable Mention for Accuracy to encourage learning about dholes.

Deadline May 21st, 2025 

Submissions should be sent one week before World Dhole Day

Judging and Fan Favorite Contest 

1 winner per age group will be selected by judges based on:

  • Creativity – Unique interpretation of dholes and their environment.
  • Accuracy – Effort in representing dhole features correctly.
  • Effort & Presentation – Neatness, detail, and overall impact.

The top 3 entries from each age group will be submitted for a Fan Favorite contest on social
media, where the public can vote for their favorite artwork.

Prizes

Each age group winner receives a prize (e.g., art supplies, animal books, certificates).
Fan Favorite winner will receive a special recognition prize.
Winning artworks featured on social media or in a local event/display.
