In Range Countries
Videographer/Photographer
Summary: We are looking for those out in the dhole range countries that spend time in national parks or other known dhole areas. We are looking for high quality media (video or photos) of dholes. All photos and videos will be credited to the creator. The goal is to create a data base of stills and b-roll for future project. The Need: Each year we get a few dozen request from documentary, filmmakers and editorials a like looking for footage and photos of dholes. As of right now there is no full-length documentary on dholes in part due to the difficulty of filming wild dholes. There is an interest in giving dholes more public exposures through popular media programs, however there is not enough supply footage to make it happen. Support: The Dhole Conservation Fund does not currently have the funds to help pay for equipment. We are working with some companies to get equipment and setting up a fund to aid in expenses like travel and park entry fees. Time commitment: varies |
Dhole Advocate
Summary: We are looking for volunteers in dhole range countries to help with education and outreach for all ages. We are looking to work with individual educators or education organizations working in South East Asia. The goal would be to do one to two outreach talks a year to different groups with a focus being around World Dhole Day, May 28th.
The Need: Seeing what our project partners in Nepal have been able to do with outreach and educations, especially with that of kids, has been inspiring. We are working to help those living along side dholes change from fear, to tolerance and hopefully coexisting with dholes. Ideally there would be understanding and acceptance of dholes, but it is a slow process. If we can get those living with dholes the closest to understand their importance to the ecosystem it would be a major win for their conservation. Currently countries in need of Dhole Advocates are:

Fundraising Efforts
Helping our partners in dhole range countries better understand dholes and their conservation needs is not always cheap. From equipment, support, salaries and fees, it can be costly. Some areas it’s not able to have international volunteers mainly due to logistic issues. However, those who want to help a particular project are asked to help host a fundraiser to benefit them We are more than happy to help you in anyway to make your event a success. From donating dhole items for auctions or raffles. To sending swag or helping develop programs like our Dhole Jeopardy. We also are set-up to accept fundraisers done via social media on Facebook and Instagram.

Social Data Analyzer
We are in need of someone looking over some survey data we collected a few years ago. This survey data was aimed to see how much the general public new about dholes by asking questions about a few different wild canine identifications and then asking more in-depth questions on dholes. There are over 800 responses, most are multi choice answers but some are open ended.
