Our education are dynamic in that they can either be done virtually with one of our educators, or we can package everything and you can give the presentation. Each presentation and activities are designed to be an hour long. They are geared to be age appropriate and can be tailored to meet your class needs. Need it to introduce a certain concept like energy transfer? We can do that, just ask.

Whats a DholeAge: All Age Levels
An introduction to what a dhole; what they eat, how the live, where they live. Focus on the whole animal approach. Did you know dholes have many names? Red dog, whistling hunter, Ajay are all names for the same animal, the dhole. You'll learn this and many other fun facts about Asian's least known hunter. Often competing against tigers and leopards we are hoping you'll find this guy just as enduring. From their fun family lives to their undeniable strength there is so much to learn about these amazing creatures. |
Gentics and Diversity |
Age: 6th to 8th Grade
See if you can adapt to best suit the environment. What traits will you have to allow your dhole to best survive its way through life and more importantly pass on its genetics to the next generation. At the end of this activity and plan the hope is students have a better idea of genetic diversity in a population. They will also understand traits and heredity to passing on those traits to future generations. |
Age: 9th to 12th
What makes a population? A community? And finally what makes an ecosystem. Explore what makes up the dhole ecosystem and how its different then those you might know. See all the key players and there interactions with each other. How does the dhole effect something like plants when its a carnivore? We take the simple concept of ecosystems and dive deeper to get a better idea of all the connections between the animals, plants and the primary energy source on earth... the sun! |
