Welcome educators, teachers, parents and anyone else interesting in getting people learning about dholes. Weather you audiences is wildlife hungry 4th graders eager to learn about endangered species, or avid bird watchers looking to learn about something new at your next Audubon meeting, we have something for everyone. If we don't already have a program to suite your needs we can tailor one for you.

Understand Dholes - Vocabulary Read
Grades 2nd to 4th A short read on what is a dhole and key vocabulary about species, ecosystems and conservation.

Food Chain Activity
Grades 3rd to 5th Students will learn about the food chain and how dholes fit in the South East Asian food chain. Students will learn about different ecosystems, new uncommon species and critical vocabulary. In this module you will have students complete five activities: they will build a food web, interactive food chain game, who’s for dinner, a food web quilt and a dhole predator and prey game. Also included are five writing prompts to see what the students learn.

Endangered Species
Grades 3rd to 5th Students will learn about the importance of endangered species and the vocabulary that is involved. Included activities included a news report, track ID, making a game board, survival game and musical chairs. The goal of activities are to get kids engaged while also learning about an endangered species the dhole. Included are five prompts to see what students had learned.

Dhole Adaptation
Grade 6th to 8th Students will learn about different type of adaptations and how the help an animal survive in different habitats. The program will go over structural, physiological and behavioral adaptations. Students will engage in activities and important vocabulary. The activities students will do included naming adaptations, an animal mash up, a scent trail activity, dhole for a day game, and a compare and contrast canine activity. There are also five writing prompts to see what students learned.

Ecosystems and Dholes
Grade 9th to 12th Students will be able to know what an ecosystem is and what the Dhole’s role is within the ecosystem. Students will understand what abiotic and biotic factors are and the role they have in ecosystems. Students will also understand the various roles organisms have in ecosystems (carnivore, herbivore, omnivore, decomposer). Students will work in small groups to answer questions, watch a PowerPoint presentation, and participate in class discussions.

Understanding Dholes
Grade 9th to 12th A reading comprehension exercise that has students learning about a new species and practice there critical reading skills. Topics cover dhole biology, behavior and adaptation. They will learn about how dholes hunt, their habitat and their range countries. They will also learn about different conservation threats and solutions. To help see what they have learned there is a Jeopardy game with trivia questions.

Whats a DholeAge: All Age Levels
An introduction to what a dhole; what they eat, how the live, where they live. Focus on the whole animal approach. Did you know dholes have many names? Red dog, whistling hunter, Ajay are all names for the same animal, the dhole. You'll learn this and many other fun facts about Asian's least known hunter. Often competing against tigers and leopards we are hoping you'll find this guy just as enduring. From their fun family lives to their undeniable strength there is so much to learn about these amazing creatures. |
